A cross between post cards with a size of 4x6” & Cut & Create ephemera that come in several sized images. The Journal cards are sized at 3x4”
This figure shows a Journal card in the middle of a 6x6” cardstock card – gives plenty of room to add. The Journal Card is the perfect focus on the card – it gives you the opportunity to decorate them with die cuts, flowers & ribbons, some lace or cogs, jute twine, mesh ribbons & tags or tickets etc
The Journal Card does not have to be in the centre;
can be off to one side
could be down & into the left or the right
wherever you want it
The diagram also shows plenty of room to have patterned paper layers behind the card; you could also use a cardstock or diecut frame to add another texture & dimension.
The Journal Cards also come with a lined paper so that you can cut & add a backing to the card - with or without cardstock between.
More:
write a poem, joke
add a message

explain the enclosed photo or object
invitation to ...
words or phrase from a favourite song
make the card into a small book
cut or diecut a frame in front of card to show journal card on inside of card
add a small letter folded in Elizabethan/Regency style
Use:
The cards have been designed to be relatively simple – add the colours you want by matting in the same colour range or in contrasting colours depending on the style you want to create.
hints:
Layers: alternate between dark and light shades so the colours won’t blend too much. By doing this, it creates contrast and you can see all the beautiful papers and layers.
glue three our four layers of the frame together to create a thick piece. This adds dimension to your projects without using expensive foam tape. Also, it gives the frame a better finish.
